I have been intrigued by these delicate flowers since finding some in our woods last spring. One source says "the trillium is a flower entirely made up of three parts that symbolize the Triune God and how God reveals himself to man in nature". (Included in my painting below)

Interesting things to note, if you pick them, the whole plant can die. Also, their seeds are spread by ants and then grow out of the ant's garbage into the flower they are.
